Description

The unit can be ‘played’ like a keyboard although it’s not as intuitive as it could be. For other MIDI (control and otherwise) options, the global button allows you to set various aspects of the device so it fits with the rest of your gear, including things like 5 or 10 volts for pitch output, CC control mapping and the like. And as SQ-64 doesn’t just output to CV but also to MIDI, it is open to any gear you might care to mention, including hooking up to your DAW to sequence software instruments. If an item can not be repaired, a similar alternative product or cash discount (as defined in this policy) will be offered

In all, for the price, the Pro is one of the best MIDI pad controllers on the market. It's brilliantly suited to live performance too, and we can see it becoming a centrepiece to a lot of musicians' stage set-ups. Eight custom modes — use Novation components to customise mappings and control anything MIDI easily from Launchpad Pro. Record into micro steps for off-grid beats with more feel. Perform Velocity, Mutation and Probability Controls The most advanced Novation grid controller for producing with Ableton Live. Launchpad Pro has dedicated buttons that get you closer to the Ableton Live workflow. Launch clips and scenes, access mixer, device and transport controls, and quantise, duplicate and double, all without touching your mouse. Capture MIDI makes sure you never miss an idea. The Complete Sequencing Workstation Never lose ideas and happy accidents with on-device access to Ableton Live's Capture MIDI function. Eight Custom ModesWhile it's not as powerful as Live’s own Push 2, being more portable and cheaper it doesn't need to be. Its standalone MIDI capabilities give it a distinct edge, too. Version 3 adds a powerful standalone polyphonic sequencing mode, which can be used to control hardware without the need for connection to a computer (although it can, of course, be used with plugins too).

Launch clips and scenes, access mixer, device and transport controls, and quantise, duplicate and double, all without touching your mouse. 64 Super-sensitive RGB Pads Use Novation Components to customise mappings and control anything MIDI easily from Launchpad Pro. Grab And Go On a similar level in terms of a software and hardware partnership Native Instruments Maschine Mk3 is also a fantastic buy with both an MPC workflow and excellent features, not to mention its audio interfacing capability. These Launchpads also let you choose functions on the pads, changing how the grid works with Ableton. For example, the Mini can be set to have the bottom row of pads being Stop/Solo/Mute controls, while the other pads still show the Session grid. Design hands-on control surfaces for any MIDI-compatible software or hardware using Custom Modes. Simply drag and drop widgets in Novation Components to configure the layout of the 8x8 grid, then store configurations as one of eight Custom Modes. Disconnect the computer (if you want to), then switch between Modes for expressive and flexible control of anything MIDI. Design the perfect controller for your live setup and perform with all your gear, however you want. The Logical Choice Super-sensitive RGB Pads – see your clips and play expressively with 64 large, RGB velocity – and pressure-sensitive pads There’s an impressive amount of depth to the Launchpad’s sequencer though, with control over individual step velocity, gate length and probability The flagship of Novation’s distinctive ‘Launch’ range of grid-based Ableton Live controllers, the Launchpad Pro Mk3 is focussed around a grid of 64-velocity sensitive pads. These can be used for triggering Live’s Clips and Scenes, creating drum beats, adjusting mixer functions using ‘virtual’ faders and playing melodic lines using the controller’s Scale and Chord modes.

The most tightly integrated grid controller for Logic Pro – trigger Live Loops from the grid, navigate projects easily, and get hands-on with your performance The Launchpad Pro MK3 is at the top of the Launchpad range, it features the most sensitive pads, the most controls for Ableton Live, a standalone Sequencer and a standalone Chord mode. It also features the Note mode and Custom modes seen on the Launchpad X, with 8 available slots for Custom Modes.Softube Time and Tone bundle – made up of four of Softube's world class plug-ins: reverb, delay, an easy to use mastering tool and distortion.

Super-sensitive RGB pads — large RGB velocity- and pressure-sensitive pads give you a perfect reflection of your Ableton Live session, making it easier than ever to see your clips and play your instruments dynamically and expressively. Collection and delivery costs are included for the first 2 years in the event of an item becoming faulty Where other pad controllers might have a sequencer built in, this is a sequencer with pad controls to play, so if you are after that level of compositional flexibility, then this is a great, solid option. The Mini MK3 and X work with Ampify apps on the iPhone, whereas the older ones do not. Launchpad Pro MK3 Get started easily — use Novation’s easy start tool to get all the software you want, and step-by-step video guides to get you set up with Live and making music in minutes.

Novation Launchpad Pro MK3 Overview

It has a USB-C port, can be powered with a supplied USB wall power supply and has a Type A TRS MIDI In port and two Type-A TRS MIDI Outputs. The second of which can be changed to a Thru port. It comes with 3 Type-A TRS to MIDI DIN Adapters. The main difference between the Launchpad Mini and Launchpad MK2 is the RGB light system. The Launchpad MK2 has an RGB light system that provides more information, such as the colours of Ableton clips, shown on the hardware. The Launchpad Mini MK1 and 2 do not have the RGB light system and contain only 4 colours (Green, Yellow, Orange, and Red). For the connection, the Launchpad Mini uses the micro USB connector and the Launchpad MK2 uses a type B port. Both devices include a cable to connect to USB Type-A ports. For more information on ports, please see our article here. The X in the name of this third-gen Launchpad marks a decade since Novation’s original 8x8 pad controller hit the market. There’s no doubt that, in that time, the Launchpad has proved hugely influential, inspiring the design of many other clip-launching MIDI controllers, providing the centrepiece of countless electronic live shows and founding a whole genre of YouTube mashup videos.
