If a replacement card is a locomotive, the player can't take it immediately. If at any time, 3 of the 5 face-up cards are Locomotives, all 5 cards are immediately discarded and 5 new ones are turned face-up to replace them.

In Small World, players vie for conquest and control of a world that is simply too small to accommodate them all. There is one twist to the rules. whenever a player places a route on the board, they claim a passenger from the two cities that form the endpoints for that route (assuming that the passengers have not already been claimed). At the end of the game, whoever has the most passengers of each of the six colors scores 20 points for that color; whoever has the second most passengers in a color scores 10 points.

A player can claim any open route on the board and they don't need to connect to any of his previously played routes. There are some things to look out for that can help you figure out which routes other players want. First and foremost, this expansion is great because it actually adds a whole new element to the game.
