About this deal

I wished I was kidding when I said that everything that could have gone wrong with this book, went wrong. Absolutely love that idea, and I think more authors should implement it - especially in books dealing with TWs as severe as these ones. It's important, but it is like she fails to see that connecting with her past life could help her, instead of putting it all on Adrian and their army's shoulders.

So, the only thing that could have made it more powerful was if we had explored that element through Adrian. Would you be able to tell me which chapter (or spoil the story) on the infant loss trigger in this book? Clair is a citizen of the Muscogee Nation and the author of the Hades X Persephone series, the Hades Saga, the Adrian X Isolde series, fairytale retellings, and When Stars Come Out. In the end, he was successful, and as he turned to go after casting one last glance, a grin appeared on his lips.Rather than push through and give this a low rating, when I know I won't be continuing with the series anyways, I just decided to put it down. We’ll see where things go in the next book (yes, I’m still going to read the next one and see where everythinggoes from here). I can only think of one, maybe two sex scenes that felt natural for the moment and actually intriguing. It is still a lot of spice but there was a much more captivating plot and it kept me hooked throughout. Me being Puerto Rican, I don't usually like reading about and island that is enslaved or colonized cause "hey, it's my real fucking life xx".

Adrian and her are always bickering but she’s always lusting and then they’re having sex and everyone pretends the problems didn’t really matter? I also do not like how their past relationship keeps being brought up because Isolde doesn't have all of her memories and he does. Human or vampire, the rules of survival are the same: never trust, never yield, and always – always – guard your heart. This story twists so much that it blurs the line between good and evil, you're not quite sure which side anyone is on. This book is the last book of this series because it is a two-book series, and this is the final one. All there is in this book is suffering and pain for them, they fight their enemies and each other, and they fix it and cope with s*x, instead of communicating or trusting one another.

i definitely think its gotten to the point where she has soooo many series at the moment that she is falling into the trap of quantity over quality. To quote Scarlet, the author, “Everyone in this book is suffering, and I think the hard part is trying to decide if you are really against anyone because they all have their motives—but that’s the interesting part of being morally grey, and in a lot of ways, I hope you struggle to decide. We all know the economy is bad, but having a 4th or 5th book in this series would be worse (especially if they follow in line with this one). Now, as politics in the Red Palace grow more underhanded, inexplicable monster attacks plague the villages, and a deadly crimson mist threatens all of Cordova, Isolde must trust in the bond she’s formed with Adrian, even as she learns troubling information about his complicated past. I am told my union to the crowned prince will determine the fate of the kingdom, but it isn’t my betrothed who haunts my dreams.Isolde's strength of character, and the steamy moments between her and Adrian though, could not cover up the weaknesses in this book. Isolde laments not being able to do magic like she used to, despite the fact that she most likely can. I am glad Isolde wonders if all her and Adrian are ever going to do is fight and fuck, because I’m wondering that as well! I found Adrian had lost his spark or character and has become either a tyrant or a love sick teenager.
