Now I am waiting " rush blood ", latest album I don't want them, they became more artificial sounding and in cd version we hear the music compression, so I don't want to get same results in LP. This basic pop was surely a refreshing effort in the face of big productions like the Spice Girls and Westlife. In fact, a few critics have suggested that the album's commercial success was due in part to a portion of Radiohead's audience being alienated by the band's experimental and more electronic-influenced Kid A album.

Parachutes started a sequence of eight consecutive UK number one albums, which is impressive in anyone’s books. Parachutes: an almost identical release (probably a reissue or a reprint) with the same copyright owners and runouts, the only difference being the labels that are "flat" and do not have the two concentric indented circles but, instead, only one circle. A couple of months later, British record producer Ken Nelson was chosen, producing all but one song on Parachutes.

Very similar release to Coldplay - Parachutes, with almost identical Runout, but with slightly different information on the label. While making a 20th anniversary review, Jon O' Brien from the Recording Academy labeled it as Coldplay's most influential album to date, impacting on the work of artists such as The Fray, Snow Patrol and OneRepublic. It's extremely hard to tell an original 1st press from a reissue because the matrix runouts are the same, but at the same time, it's sort of a good thing because it diminishes your need to hunt for a 1st press (if it was pressed using the same stampers, then it should sound the same if not better given it's on heavier vinyl and in new condition). However, tours and other live performances caused the recording to spread out between September 1999 and May 2000.The hidden track "Life Is For Living" begins at the 5:39 mark of track B5 after a short period of silence (total B5 duration is 7:15). Siobhan Grogan of NME stated that "all told, it's incredible this is a debut album" and concluded that "accomplished, yet subtle, it works perfectly as a whole in a way all the production skills in the world couldn't replicate. With their debut major label single alone, the emotion-fortified "Shiver", Coldplay prove they can shift between elated and crushed in a breath, as singer Chris Martin pours out music's oldest chestnut (unconditional yet unrequited love) with the shakiest of voices and a backdrop of epic guitars.
