The Halo Bolt has 58,830mWh of battery power within, and the official description suggests that it can provide up to several hours of additional usage for a MacBook Pro or iPad Air. In my testing, the results didn’t quite match those targets.
To charge your HALO BOLT AIR, use the provided Wall Charging Adapter, and plug the AC adapter plug into the charge input. Next, connect the AC adapter to a wall outlet. The power button for the AC outlet is right next to an outlet, and when pressed, it blinks Green twice and then stays Green. To turn off the AC outlet, press the power button again. Structure-wise, the Halo Bolt 58830 is a power bank that is built well. The charger can heat up internally if you crank your car too many times while trying to jump-start it, so it’s best to take a break after about three cranks. The instructions say you can use the cigarette lighter plug to run something that needs 120 volts, but it doesn’t work at all. Maybe the unit was defective, but I couldn’t get anything to happen when I plugged something into the 12 volt plug either. It was supposed to have an LED light built in, but nothing happened when I pushed the button on top. I took pictures of everything as proof of what happened, but didn’t bother to return it because it wasn’t worth the effort or postage costs. If you’re buying this item to use in case of an emergency, think again. There are other devices out there that are much better than this one! Power banks are among the most useful chargers that you can own. Portable power stations are an even more reliable type of power bank, and ones that can jump-start your cars can be lifesavers.I bought this item to charge my cell phone in the event of a power outage. It is small, but I like that because it can be stored in a drawer. It’s very heavy (about 3 pounds) so it would not be good for travel. It does not hold a lot of charge, so it won’t recharge your phone more than once or twice. I charged it for about 10 hours and then plugged my phone into it with the cord that came with the phone and only got a 60% charge on my phone.
