There’s fast-charging here, although it’s not as fast as you’ll get with some other Android phones. It tops out at 30W, with the phone able to charge from zero to 50% in around 30 minutes. In our testing, we found a 30W charger was able to take the phone from zero to 20% in 15 minutes, and to 40% in 30 minutes. By comparison, the Google Pixel 6 comes with a dual camera with a 50-megapixel main camera, with an aperture of f/1.85 and 1.2µm pixels, and a 12-megapixel ultrawide with an aperture of f/2.2 and 1.25µm pixels. The main camera has a 82-degree field of view, while the ultrawide has a 114-degree FOV. We found it to be one of the sharpest-looking displays we’ve seen on a smartphone in 2021. Its 512 pixels per inch is a rarity on smartphones with QHD displays, and we’ve only seen it beaten by handsets like the Sony Xperia 1 IV with its 4K screen. There's a pretty big difference in price between these three models, with the Pixel 6a coming in at an affordable price. It is a smaller device and does make some compromises on what it offers, especially in the display and camera as we detail below. The in-display fingerprint sensor is on par with the one in the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. It's pretty fast and has a 95% accuracy rate. It’s also among the easiest to set up that we’ve used.

The Pixel 6 Pro does well in very little light, but you'll notice some lens flare (Steven Winkelman ) In addition to the CPU, there’s a 20-core ARM Mali GPU for gaming and computational photography, as well as a 50MP ISP with zero shutter lag and Google’s HDRnet. A separate Context Hub coprocessor sits on the SoC for things like contextual reminders and the always-on display. Another Pro phone, the iPhone uses iOS instead of Android, but in other departments is quite similar. Expect equal cameras, display tech and slightly faster performance. We’ve yet to see it deliver any significant improvements over phones that use more traditional chipsets, but it’s still easily powerful enough to boot up your favorite apps and games, and that’s what really matters.
