TVs, even small ones, are just too heavy and they need screws buried deep in the wall to anchor them safely. Only a drill is going to get those screws in deep enough. How do I know if my wall can support a TV? At full price it's perhaps a little more expensive than we'd like for something so simple, but it's one of those products that sees frequent discounts so it's worth keeping one eye on the price. How to choose a TV wall mount

Wall mounts come in two parts – you've already fitted one to the wall and now you can fix the other part to your TV. Fixed The most basic mounts fix your TV flush to wall. Once it's mounted you won't be able to move the TV at all. Made for Samsung TVs, the Slim Fit Wall Mount brings your TV flush against the wall for a minimalist look that blends seamlessly into any interior. For us, the biggest pro of wall mounting your TV is that it saves space – getting the telly up high means you don’t need a large stand or cabinet taking up valuable square inches, giving you more room for sofas, accent chairs or a children’s play area. If you wanted the TV completely flush with the wall so that there it doesn’t stand out at all. You may want to build a frame/ stud wall around the TV so that it sits completely flush. Once in place you could plasterboard around and have a plasterer skim it or you could get a carpenter to build some sort of cupboard/ storage around it. By doing it this way would also give you a space to route the cabling behind the wall. This is obviously a bigger task than your average wall mount but if you wanted to create something special or are renovating you may want to give it some consideration. Just remember that one day you will probably need to replace the TV! Within the realm of VESA-compatible mounts, you’ll see TV mounts that are stationary and hold the TV as flush with the wall as possible, as well as dynamic options that let you tilt, rotate, or otherwise articulate your display. While movable options are handy for smaller TVs in kitchens, for instance, the maneuverability might not be as handy as it seems for very large TVs.

When installing TV’s I often come across some designs which I like, the following are designs by Samsung which really help get the TV as close to the wall as possible. One Invisible Connection’ refers to a single, translucent optical cable connected to the One Connect Box integrating external device cables, but does not refer to cables connected to other devices such as the sound bar.

Yamaha's soundbar bundle delivers all you could need, including one of the best subwoofers at this price

Don’t forget, either, that wall-mounting your TV means you’re severely restricting your chances of putting a soundbar beneath it. So your wall-mounted TV should sound at least half-decent, too. All information included herein is subject to change without notice. Samsung is not responsible for any direct or indirect damages, Mounting your TV means you can tilt the screen to avoid glare or accommodate variable seating, and it frees up more space for storing your game consoles and sound bars. Here’s everything you need to know to select the best TV wall mount for your home. Because the engineers didn’t get there first, The Frame is a good TV rather than a great one. Its images aren’t the brightest around, and its colour-balance isn’t the most natural you’ve ever seen. But it’s nevertheless good to watch, with plenty of detail in its images and nice, stable motion-handling. In Tizen it has one of the better operating systems. But, most of all, it’s the only screen here that genuinely looks good when it’s switched off. Mark out the holes you’re drilling lightly in pencil on the wall, and drill through each of them. Insert the wall anchors. Then, it’s a case of screwing the combined mount and TV into the wall, with your assistant keeping the television level and supported.

Once you've got your TV fixed to the wall you aren't going to want to move it again, so make sure you put it in exactly the right place. Ideally, you want three people to do this: two to hold the TV and a third to lounge in an armchair to direct proceedings: 'Higher, lower, a bit to the left, perfect.' In terms of angle adjustments, you’ve plenty of flexibility. There’s a 160-degree horizontal full motion swivel in both directions, while there’s a vertical tilt angle range from -5 degrees to +8 degrees. If you are after a flush fit, this is a good mount to consider, with a minimum reach of just 58mm. Despite a slightly higher price tag, this wall mount more than justifies the RRP thanks to its incredibly robust design and scope of flexibility.
