Since it’s inviting and quite attractive, I’d say this would be a good scent to wear on a lads night out too. I don’t feel it’s a super powerful heavy hitting scent, it’s more subtle, but still going to get compliments.What a bergamot splash in the opening. It develops nicely - oakmoss and mandarin orange spiced up by a little bit of cloves, basil ans nutmeg. However, compared to contemporary warm-weather men's fragrances, I find that Armani Eau Pour Homme is just not that competitive. Its a nice enough fragrance but smelling it makes me crave for something much fresher, something like Armani's 1996 masterpiece, Acqua di Gio.

What I get from Armani Eau Pour Homme (1984) is a polite mixture of 3/4 Dior Eau Sauvage and 1/4 Azzaro Pour Homme. I do get a lot of compliments when I’m wearing this! Especially in summer, on hot days this one does a good job. But somehow there's always something too much, it's too full and overflowing with sweet-spicy accents, making you feel "overdressed" with it all the time, I think.I'm 33 and I think this is one of the best old school citrus fragrances suitable for modern times since the blend of citrus, oakmoss and spices is perfectly balanced. I'd actually vote it above Dior's Eau Sauvage which is considered by many as the king in this genre. To my nose this smells "more natural" than Eau Sauvage. The oak moss is subdued here so it doesn't smell too dated but it's definitely present. Wonderful scent! it is a type of lemony, but has a spicy edge and a type of sexyness throughout. maybe it is lily and some musk. It even has a bit of powder in it. patchouli too. This smells like Armani Code, a little big stronger though. unfortunately the strength is coming from Norlimbanol & Ambroxan, both very apparent in its dry down. The cedar-smelling heavy dry down is likely played out by the aromachemical Norlimbanol.
