About this deal

Something that I haven’t seen you mention is the Endgame Gear XM1. That’s a great mouse for claw/fingertip grip as well and might be right up your alley as far as size is concerned. It’s got a flawless sensor, great cable, it’s light, … It’s a really good gaming mouse but often flies under the radar. The S2-Cis one of the better ambidextrous mice out there if you’re looking for a smaller/shorter mouse of this type for your competitive gaming fix and it’s one that you should definitely take a look at if you’re in the market for an ambidextrous mouse. Doubly so because the S shape hasn’t been copied to death like Zowie’s FK and EC lines, meaning that it’s still rather unique in today’s market. Hi, my hands are 18.5 x 10.0 (10.5) in size. For my mouse i use mostly claw/fingertip (hard to distinguish for me, but if i had to guess its claw). I cannot exactly decide which mouse I should use, I mainly play FPS and MOBA’s , I wouldn’t mind keeping 2 mice [One for FPS , one for MOBA] It's crazy how noticeable a few gram's difference is when aiming with a lighter mouse. So far I like the ZA13 the most since it's small and light enough to give me good maneuverability while maintaining a high-profile shape to fit my hand and give me control when lifting it.”

Some might argue that all of these changes that Zowie has made fall into the ‘too little, too late’ category, but I don’t agree with that. I think this C line of mice is a great marriage between Zowie’s core design fundamentals (which is what made them such a loved brand in the first place) and modern mouse tech. What you get here is a very reliable plug and play mouse made for (competitive) shooter games with no frills or distracting elements. It’s not the most groundbreaking piece of equipment I’ve reviewed this year, but it doesn’t have to be and that’s also not what Zowie is aiming for I think. As you may or may not know, the S2 is a small to medium sized mouse with an ambidextrous design. Apart from the coating there are no changes between the Divina version and the regular version, so if you’ve had the chance to play with that then you already know what to expect here. Hello my grip is claw, I saw a video on YouTube and said that the za model was ideal for the claw grip since the ec was for palm and the fk finger grip. The scroll wheel, then, has been changed from earlier models. It now has 24 steps instead of the usual 16 and this really is a blessing. I never really had a big issue with Zowie’s old wheels, but then again I also have the luxury of using different mice for different purposes. I can imagine that Zowie’s loud 16-step wheel got old for a lot of people fast so I think they’ve made a good change here. It’s still a bit loud and it’s not the most secure feeling wheel to me (it can feel a bit ‘flimsy’ when scrolling, and the definition between steps isn’t as crispy as it should be) but all in all it performs fine. It israther difficult to press down though, so if you use your mouse wheel for important/’spammy’ purposes in your game of choice you will want to consider this. Build Quality and Cable In recent times, however, the brand had fallen behind the ‘market standard’ a bit. In a world where lightweight mice, complete with shoelace-like cables are commonplace it could be argued that Zowie was resting on their laurels a bit. With the release of the C series of mice that discussion seems to be well and truly put to bed. This is Zowie’s way of bringing their mice up to par without ignoring what has made them so well-loved among competitive gamers in the first place. One of the things Zowie emphasize in their marketing for this product is that they made this mouse shorter to make vertical aiming easier. That’s a bit of an odd thing to single out to me since that entirely depends on your grip style, but this shorter design doesallow for some space between the mouse and your palm (unless you’re a palm gripper obviously) which can make micro adjustments on the vertical axis easier to do so I can kind of see where they’re coming from. Vertical aim or not: I personally think that this is one of their best shapes yet and I like this shorter, more boxy design better than that of the flatter FK if I had to choose. It had been a while since they released a completely new model though, and with the release of the S line the wait is finally over. The S’s shape is designed from the ground up to provide yet another amazing Zowie shape, with all the features that the other Zowie mice are known for, plus an upgraded sensor. I guess it depends on your grip style. I have 19x10cm and use a claw grip where the mouse is usually 45 degree angled and takes support from the right side of my palm, and the G100s is my dream shape. All in all the S2 is yet another great feeling and fitting Zowie mouse so if you feel like the FK line is perhaps a bit too long and flat for you it can be a great idea to try out the S1 or S2. Buttons and Scroll WheelIt all depends on your preferences, hand size, and grip style. The S2 and Deathadder have completely different shapes too. If you want a mouse that’s more form-fitting and shaped ergonomically you can go for the V2 (but keep in mind that DeathAdders are pretty large mice) and if you want a more neutral shape the S2 is a good one to go for. I've been loving the access I've had to so many different kinds of Zowie mice. I started out with large mice thinking my FK1 was too small but after trying some of the smaller mice like the EC2-B and the S2 I definitely prefer the maneuverability I have with these. I would like to express appreciation for the fitting kit. I've learned quite a bit about what I like and dislike in these two weeks. It turns out the mouse I expected to like the least, I ended up liking the most, and vice versa! Finding the right mouse isn't cheap nor easy and you guys managed to fuse both… Once you get the hands on it, many minor details amount to a huge assist to actually using the mice. Slight angles, a more concave section here, a tiny ledge there, it all adds up to a much needed human element to design… it was a worthwhile experience and learned a bunch…” Zowie has always included replacement feet in the box, and I always take the time to applaud them (and other brands who do this) for that. If you’re a competitive gamer you’re likely to pay attention to factors such as the glide of your mouse feet, and having the peace of mind knowing that you can just swap out your feet once they start degrading (this will happen to all mouse feet) is great. These days, Zowie also sell their own ‘speed skates’ if you prefer a faster glide. Shape, Coating, and Mouse Feet The S2, as I said before, has a very safe and comfortable grip so it should be good to go for a very large variety of grip types.
