Description

Megan Pierce is a suburban mum living in the fictional suburb of Livingstone, and is hiding a murky past. She has found her soulmate in Dave, and they have three great kids. Ray Levine was once a talented documentary photographer. Losing the woman he loved changed him. Now he is in a dead-end job, playing a paparazzo-for-hire, pandering to rich kid pseudo-celebrities. Michael Broome is a detective still haunted by a cold case from seventeen years ago, when local husband and father, Stewart Green, disappeared without any trace. Green's wife still waits for Stewart to return. The seven subsequent episodes of Stay Close continue to suggest that the person behind Stewart’s disappearance — or, possibly, murder — also harmed Carlton. But the mystery’s finale reveals that the true answer isn’t nearly so cut-and-dried. While Stewart's fate accidentally leads to Carlton's disappearance, very different people actually caused these crimes. Fletcher, Alex (4 February 2021). "If you liked Harlan Coben's The Stranger, you will love Stay Close". BT TV. Archived from the original on 28 February 2021 . Retrieved 28 February 2021. No. It’s not yet commercially available, at any rate. A group of American students in 2014 reportedly came up with the idea of a nail polish that could be dipped in drinks to detect the presence of a date rape drug, but later changed their plan to a disposable pregnancy test-style system. What really happened to Stewart Green?

Stay Close - Wikipedia

Three people are given the opportunity to revisit the past and maybe right old wrongs. But they are not the only ones taking an interest in the new disappearance. And those others who are trying to find answers have no scruples or qualms about their methods. This is one audiobook that I absolutely do NOT recommend. I think the instructions to the narrator were "try to sound cool" which I guess was interpreted as try to sound bored. Even the exciting portions of the book were read off in this sing song kind of way. A third, however, wrote: "Can highly recommend #stayclose on #Netflix...Been binge watching it… loved it except for the Barbie and Ken!" while another agreed with this, stating: "Why is there some random Barbie and Ken killers dancing like they are on strictly? Most bizarre thing I've watched #StayClose."Secondly, If you think you know who did it like 1/4 of the way in, you're right but the author adds an extra cup of cheesy pathos to the motive that undermines the only thing that was even mildly interesting about the killer. Harlan Coben was born and raised in New Jersey. After graduating from Amherst College as political science major, Another is now here and Stay Close promises more of almost exactly the same – including Richard Armitage, who is now seedy photographer Ray and, by the end of the opening episode, about to become firmly tied into the main plot. This centres on Megan (Cush Jumbo), whose idyllic life, loving family and perfect kitchen are evidence that she is the keeper of a Secret Past that will soon rear its ugly head and threaten everything she holds dear. Ray Levine is a photographer. He used to be very successful in that career but for the past seventeen years he’s been haunted by visions of blood, too much blood, and incapable to keep himself together enough to do more than sleazy and cheap assignments. Harlan Coben has long been one of my favourite authors. I may not have read every single one of his books, but I haven’t missed many of them because he writes damn good thrillers.

Staying Close: Stopping the Natural Drift Toward Isolat…

The plot, which HC recycles in every book of his, has nothing new to offer. If anyone doesn't understand the meaning of Deja Vu, please read books by Harlan Coben. Megan Pierce is an ordinary soccer mom with an interesting past - one where she had to change her name to escape. Ray, her former love, is also muddling through life as a photographer, pining over the one that got away. And then there is a police detective (who seems to have a lot of free time to hang out with various ladies) who is committed to solving a crime from long ago.In a nutshell, this is an enthralling yet entertaining crime thriller that will better be enjoyed by general readers instead of the dedicated fans of the crime fiction genre. Franchise History: Lorraine appears in the series and the book, but she’s introduced in an approximately 90 percent creepier way in the TV show.
