About this deal

Overall, you're getting a good set of headphones here for the cash. it's worth noting that you'll only be able to get a wired connection for Xbox and PlayStation - though PC players can still connect through Bluetooth. That makes this a decidedly Nintendo Switch focused affair, where the Corsair HS70 Bluetooth really has the chance to shine. If you're happy to go wired, you can't go wrong with the Arctis Nova 1. This is a particularly well priced headset offering excellent sound and comfort. You’re better off using two cans and a string. I hooked up my Powerbeats Pro headphones and the max volume strength is less than half of what wired headphones do. I slapped in my wired Sony earbuds and I had to turn them down. Making my PB’s seem pointless. Add to the fact, that this would’ve been the perfect time to add voice chat and I can’t help but feel, that they probably shouldn’t have bothered.

Lord You can’t voice chat with any Bluetooth device. Hardly Nintendo’s fault. You can try it with your phone if you don’t believe me. Can you listen to music and also make a phone call?? This is great I just got a pair of these. I was just in the car the other day playing my Switch and thought it be nice to have them connected instead of the audio playing out loud so this is a great feature. WolfyTn Why is it necessary to specifically in the article write the brand? Why is it so urgent to know the brand if its not an specific way to connect them. The design is a far cry from the luxuries of more expensive models, but you've still got a comfortable form factor overall. That lighter weight is playing a large role here, ensuring the Nova 1s remain ergonomic during longer play sessions and aren't a burden to take with you on the go. An elasticated inner headband keeps the plastic main band off the noggin well, and some memory foam in the cups themselves goes a long way as well. We did notice that the fabric material did get warm after a while, though. thinkhector Nope. I mean, any sort of low latency codec is super helpful, but it won't prevent it from working. Performance will vary though, but with Switch there's a lot more factor that can change the experience.. how far you are from the system and other types of devices that can (and will) interfere with the signal.I don't think I've noticed any sound lag issues, but I've only tried Cruisin' Blast so far. I'll try a Mario game later as the coin collection sound is always a giveaway for when sound is out of sync. Each device on this list has undergone intensive testing well beyond the initial weeks of reviewing - we keep these gadgets in constant roster alongside new releases to truly make sure they live up to their price tags. A good headset does more than give you a way to communicate with teammates. It can also isolate you from the outside world, providing an immersive gaming experience and producing high-end audio that beats out the Switch's built-in speakers or a low-end home entertainment system. Shopping for the right headset can be difficult, however, as there are hundreds of products on the market---and many of them carry very similar specifications.

At their best, the Roccat Syn Buds Core are a solid everyday driver to keep in your carry case, especially if you don't tend to play music-intensive or particularly directional games. Roccat Syn Buds Core review I believe bluetooth audio lag is the reason that Nintendo never allowed it... but they have caved to customer demand. It's fine for people who don't mind the lag, but I will be plugging in headphones to my Switch. Best upgrade ever (and long overdue)! I guess they especially wrote "airpods" since some islaves wouldn't know what Bluetooth headphones are without the additional branding. The best Nintendo Switch headset we've tested is the Razer Barracuda X. It balances a low price point with excellent audio quality without overloading you with features the system won't be able the use. You can spring for something a bit more premium (we'd recommend the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro if you're going all the way to the top), but for casual everyday play the Barracuda X is all you're going to need and slightly more. Should you buy a Nintendo Switch headset with a mic? To help combat this annoying quirk, you'll need either a USB-C Bluetooth adapter like the Creative BT-W3 Bluetooth transmitter or a headset with its own USB-C adapter like the affordable and versatile SteelSeries Arctis 1 Wireless headset. Both are excellent options if you've been looking for a way to listen to your Nintendo Switch wirelessly. Once you have that Bluetooth transmitter, simply plug it into your Switch's USB-C charging port on the bottom while handheld and hold down the pair button on your headphones--it should connect automatically.
