For a movie like this, I'm kind of curious in terms of supplemental material or cut scenes, was there anything left from the filming of interest in that regard? aren't yet equipped for Atmos), Elvis routinely takes full advantage of the format with a wide-open and, at times, incredibly immersive sound

Equipped with a default Dolby Atmos mix on both the 4K and Blu-ray (which, as always, automatically folds down to a Dolby TrueHD 7.1 core if you it's entertaining enough for a watch and may score stronger with the late legend's most devoted fans, but Elvis wears out its welcome sooner It’s certainly worth noting that the critics like the film, so much that it carries [at the time of writing] a “Certified Fresh” badge over at Rotten Tomatoes. Also, unlike any previous biographies about Elvis, this one ended up being approved (after release) by Priscilla Presley and Lisa Marie Presley as discussed in this Entertainment Weekly article. I'll leave it at that. There's something we discovered recently that maybe we'll be revealing later. I don't know. I never know what I'm supposed to talk about. So I'm going to just say that. Immediately you will undoubtedly notice that the height channels are used very tastefully for mostly the music and sound effects, to help build this large sound (as mentioned) which seems very fitting about this Atmos mix. The music here, all throughout, is driven primarily from the front left & right channel speakers, along with a very nice amount of rear channel presence, and (as mentioned) across the height channel speakers. All along the way, you’ll feel a very deep amount of bass in the speakers as well as strong LFE coming from the subwoofer. This sound mix is just massive and really pulls you right into the story as well as most obviously the unforgettable musical experience. This is one of the finer Dolby Atmos mixes that I’ve heard. Dare I say, this is a mix fit for a King.

Elvis” [2002] arrives on 4K UHD Blu-ray in Dolby Atmos, with a Dolby TrueHD 7.1 core — for those not able to decode the Atmos as well as even Dolby Digital 5.1 surround, although it’s pointless considering that is actually contained in the Dolby TrueHD core. Bigger Than Life: The Story of Elvis (HD, 23 Mins.) - The main cast and crew discuss making this unorthodox biopic of Elvis with all of its amazement and hardships. Now, about that title: Elvis isn’t really a biopic about the legendary singer and his meteoric rise to fame. Many other films have that angle covered. Rather, it is also Colonel Tom Parker’s story – his version of it at least, and is told through the lens of Elvis’s ( Austin Butler, Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood) complicated relationship with his cagey manager (a fat-suited Tom Hanks) who gets equal screen time. So, perhaps titling it Elvis and his Unscrupulous Manager might have been a more appropriate title. On second thought, just Elvis is probably good. Elvis is on UK 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray as a standalone 4K release and as part of the Warner Bros. 100th Anniversary Studio Collection from 16th October 2023. Surround usage is nicely drawn, coming alive for the performances, with the ambience of the crowd and the various stages spread around and above the listener. There are various spot effects that make full use of the speaker array thanks to Luhrmann’s high energy montages and use of visual effects, but my only criticism of the sound mix here is that there is such a difference between the musical performances and the rest of the film with regard to its use of the entire speaker array that I always wanted just a little more ambience and atmosphere from the speakers during the many off-stage moments….of course, the plethora of music cues), and serves up a strong dynamic range without necessarily making viewers adjust their volume levels more than Selected items are only available for delivery via the Royal Mail 48® service and other items are available for delivery using this service for a charge. an image evocative of a classic cinematic appearance. With the addition of artificial film grain, the illusion is even more convincing. Still, this is enhancement produces a number of highlight-worthy shorts during Elvis' many musical performances, where bright stage lights and colorful

Elvis” [2022] was one very unique biopic that managed to tell the story of Elvis Presley and his crooked manager in a different way than we had ever experienced in the past. Director, producer, and co-writer Baz Luhrmann has truthfully put together a great film here and star Austin Butler surely “gave it his all” playing Elvis as did even Tom Hanks, playing his less than likable manager [ “Colonel Tom Parker”] in the film.
