During winter we try to use a slow cooker during the day which takes further advantage of the available sun. Our one-size-fits-all model of traditional education has been based on the false idea that every student in a given class is performing at the same level academically, behaviorally, and socially and that they all need the same things. As a result, many students are bored, frustrated, or not able to access the learning. NC:Sure, and of course, so many things have just grown like topsy haven’t they during the pandemic? We’ve got all this hybrid working, rather kind of mixed solutions, some very successful, some not.

The proposed five-factor solution needs additional work. In particular, both the competency and connection scales need further development. Only two items represented connection, and this is not adequate to represent the full aspect of this construct, especially to make it clearly distinct from the construct of service. The competency scale included only three items, coefficient alpha was 0.66, and factor loadings for the scale were low (<0.40) for demonstrating skills or competency. Another frustration of mine is the one-size-fits-all FDA and CDC recommendations. They're not individualized; they don't give doctors the ability to individualize care. ADF Faces RC includes the   tag for empty table cells, except for null date af:outputText fields who in addition have child tags that aren’t converter and validator tags. ora:ojdeploy] INFO: Wrote Archive Module to file:/C:/JDeveloper/mywork/ADFLibrary1/ViewController/deploy/ADFLibrary1.jarI do clean the solar panels, about every 3 months with a big squidgy mop. Perth summer air has lots of dust, and bees seem to like dropping pollen in big wads on the panels too which is easy to clean off with instant power boost. ora:ojdeploy] 07/12/2011 1:31:43 PM oracle.jdevimpl.deploy.fwk.TopLevelDeployer printTargetPlatform

GGQ:Well it’s not about compromising, like we, both Susi and I were saying, it’s about making something better for everybody. So it’s really not writing for the 20% or creating for the 20% but for the 100%. And yeah, maybe the 80% might be able to access what we do. But really, do we have any hard evidence of that either? Because a lot of disabilities are hidden, a lot of people don’t want to share their own disabilities. So we’re making huge assumptions about the number of people who can access what we’re producing. So if we make the most possible accessible thing, then that’s when we reach the -- Overall the solar has definitely made a difference but it is on the smallish side. The incremental changes like moving the washing time, adding power efficient lighting has helped, and just identifying the standby power use I think is where the magic is. Another, Clinic-T, is run by Dr Kate Nambiar in Brighton, “As a clinician who does cervical screening for trans patients, I see the worry people have about how they will be treated. For many trans people, because the test is invasive and can trigger dysphoria, they simply avoid getting it done. Yet there are many things as clinicians we can do to reduce the discomfort, putting in place simple interventions. That’s not to say these things can’t also be done at non-specialist services – in most cases, a little education in the needs of the trans and non-binary population can go a very long way.” In many biology educational research papers, researchers only provide coefficient alpha (also called Cronbach’s alpha) as evidence of validity. For example, in Eddy et al. (2015), the researchers describe the alpha of two scales on a survey and no other evidence of validity or dimensionality. This usage is widely agreed to be a misuse of coefficient alpha ( Green and Yang, 2009). To understand why this is the case, we have to understand how validity and reliability differ and what specifically coefficient alpha measures. The theoretical framework leading to the development of this survey has a long and well-established history. In 1966, Bakan (1966) originally proposed that two orientations could be used to characterize the human experience: agentic (orientation to the self) and communal (orientation to others). Agentic goals can thus be seen as goals focusing on improving the self or one’s own circumstances. Communal goals are goals focusing on helping others and one’s community and being part of a community. Gender socialization theory contributed to our understanding of who holds these goals most strongly: women are socialized to desire and assume more communal roles, while males assume more agentic roles ( Eagly et al., 2000; Prentice and Carranza, 2002; Su et al., 2009).If an invitation lands on your doormat, saying, dear Miss Jones and you’re in fact, Mr Jones, you’re not really going to want to visit that service.” GGQ:Yeah, I totally agree. I think not everybody maybe can do the technical side of it, and you do need the right professions for that. But everybody can be an advocate of it and really make the case for it and talk to their colleagues and the leadership and say, well we, as an organisation we don’t want to accept that we create something that is not accessible. SM:So there’s one phrase that’s actually going on on social media at the moment about accessibility which is progress over perfection. And I love that, because I really think if you accept it isn’t always possible to make everything 100% compliant, but you just, as you said, your baby steps, you’re just making a bit of progress. It has a huge, huge impact on people and we don’t -- The other aspect we’re working on is passive immunity, such as giving someone monoclonal antibodies to get the antibody-mediated protection. They don't get the rest of the B cell and T cell immunity, but they get so much neutralizing capability from these monoclonal antibodies that it does give them some protection. The question is, how durable is that protection?
