About this deal

If you plan on playing in a larger room, I can recommend the Champion 100. The 100 is a 100-watt amplifier loaded with 2×12″ speakers. This combination allows it to be much louder than the Champion 40 and handle higher volumes. The 40 is a loud amplifier, and you’ll get the loudest output from the amp using the clean channel with an external overdrive, distortion, or fuzz pedal. This amp is lightweight at only 19 pounds, so it travels well. It is a reliable and durable, which means you don’t need to handle it with kid gloves or worry every time you move it.

It is well made, is tough enough but light enough to make transporting it easy, and it has a whole load of onboard functions and effects and has a great sound. Additionally, in most cases the Champion 40 comes without a footswitch. This is not a huge con, but if you like to play or perform with a footswitch you’ll have to get it separately. But again, if you’re just a beginner, you probably won’t even need it anyway. If you don’t like the sound of Fender Champion 40 and you’re sure that this combo is not made for you, that’s totally fine! There’s still quite a few other really good amps that also deserve a lot of attention. Of course, it all depends on what you’re looking for and how much are you willing to spend. Overall, it offers a fantastic quality for the money. I have no hesitation in recommending this combo to all musicians who are looking for a good sounding, inexpensive and reliable piece of gear. World-renowned Fender clean and overdrive tones, plus an assortment of British and modern amp voicing and distortion flavors. As you can see, this is a truly amazing guitar combo. Considering how versatile and affordable it is, it’s definitely one of the best solid state amps that you can find at this price level. That’s why I have no hesitation in recommending it to all guitar players who are searching for a high quality piece of gear! Most artists have nothing but positive things to say about the Fender brand , claiming that it fully deserves to be regarded as one of the top brands available when it comes to instruments and musical equipment. When it comes to the excellent, dependable sound that consumers have come to expect from a Fender amp, the Champion 40 is no exception! The volume took over but how can you ever forget that sound of the Fender amp. It was special and still is. Everyone knows that Fender produces high-quality music instruments, whether it is their Stratocaster guitars, their Mustang bass guitars, or their Rhodes electric piano. It isn’t just instruments, though, that Fender is the best at. They also make amplifiers. The Champion 40 is a great, solid-state 40-watt amp that comes with a vast number of effects, as well as offering excellent value for money. So, we have discovered that it is well made from good materials. It has a single powerful speaker and a few onboard effects, and of course, there is the amp modeling to play with. Most of all though it looks like a Fender.

The main difference between these amps is the fact that the Champion 20 has just one channel, while the Champion 40 has two channels. This is a really important feature, because it gives you more versatility while playing live. The Champion 40 is also louder, but at the same time it’s not as portable as the Champion 20. It is manufactured in China, as are some of Fender's goods these days. That should not be interpreted negatively. We've seen some really bad manufacturing attempts come out of both western and eastern plants, and you can only assess a product on its own merits. The amplifier itself is fairly light, weighing only 35 pounds. It's made of seven-ply three-quarter inch medium density fiberboard and has an angled front panel. For some larger items which need to be delivered upstairs - including pianos, we offer a timed delivery service using our own van and drivers. This service is free on some items and chargeable on others. Call us on 01323 639335 to discuss your specific delivery requirements. The Fender Champion 40 guitar amplifier is loaded with an array of onboard effects. The effects are DSP (Digital Signal Processing) and do a great job of recreating classic and sought-after effects. These effects include Reverb, Chorus, Flanger, Delay and Reverb, Wah, Vibe, and, Tremolo. You can only select one FX preset at a time on the FX SELECT control. The Great news is that you can also tap-tempo the effects to be on time with the music you are playing. FX Selection Control Dial on the far right. Next to it is the TAP-Tempo button. Does Fender Champion 40 have Reverb?

Nothing much has changed today. Marshall is still the big player, although Dave’s untimely accidental death reduced HiWatt’s influence from what was always going to be a big challenge to Big Jim. A look at the Who Live at Leeds album cover with its wall to wall of HiWatt amps will tell you that. But the truth is that the Champion 40 is the most powerful one of them. It’s not even that expensive. I mean I know it’s not very cheap, but I’m pretty sure that it’s within reach of anyone. In addition to their fantastic uncolored sound, many Fender amps come equipped with onboard effects that convey a versatile wealth of tonal coloring, atmospherics and textures. Includes reverb, delay, chorus, tremolo and much more. This operation is completely normal. Unlike some amplifiers, the Champion 40 does not have a standby switch, so you hear the power release from the power supply through the speaker. This will not affect the amplifier. You can also turn the volume control down before powering off the amplifier for a much quieter experience. An audible pop can also be heard as you turn the amplifier on. Don’t worry about this, as it’s completely normal. Many guitarists wonder whether they should choose the Fender Champion 20 or Fender Champion 40. Both of these amps are really good, but which one of them is actually better?Well, the truth is that it all depends on your personal preferences. Still, I’m sure that no matter which amp you decide to choose, you won’t be disappointed. If you don’t necessarily need a loud combo, choose the 20-Watt version. But if you’re planning on playing gigs or rehearsing, grab the 40-Watt one! Additionally, we get a dedicated distortion channel volume control to set the output volume 0f the amplifier accordingly. Furthermore, the Champion 40 has a Voice control that allows you to select from a host of unique and usable drive sounds. By rotating the potentiometer around, you can select between low-gain tones (left), to high-gain tones on the right.

The only issue we could detect was a loud pop when it was shut off. That won't help the speaker much in the long run. Even that concern may be bogus because the volume was still turned up, thus turning it down before turning it off could remedy the problem, as it often does. If this area of the fitting is not secure, then speaker movement inside the cabinet will gradually cause damage. This will either affect the sound, cause internal movement of the speaker or at worst the speaker will become detached from its fitting and start chasing you around the stage. Not the ideal scenario, even if you happen to be in Spinal Tap. The only thing we could find is that when it is turned off, there is a loud pop. That won’t do the speaker much good over a period of time. Even that issue though might be unfounded as the volume was still up so turning the volume down before turning it off may well solve that problem as it often does. The range of effects that are offered is something that is rare on an entry-level amp. This is especially good for beginners who haven’t discovered their sound yet or like to experiment playing different genres of music. Versatile guitarists will enjoy this aspect too. It’s as easy to sound like Jimi Hendrix, as it is George Harrison. Digital Amp Modelling: It is almost like having several amplifiers all inside this one because of the digital amp modeling, which recreates the voice of everything from a classic Fender amp to heavy metal one, and everything in between. The amp itself is quite lightweight weighing just 35 pounds. It is constructed from seven-ply three quarter inch medium density fiberboard with an angled front panel.
