Description

An awful Twilight-esque story with Tokyo Ghoul elements that are meshed in and didn’t really fit well with bad to poor execution.

So, as it turns out, when it comes to book boyfriends (gah I hate that term, but can’t think of a better one), I’ve got a type. The vampire lore was kind of cool? But it will definitely need more development in future volumes. In fact, I think that's another reason I rated it lower. The dialogue/story jumps between chapters were a little confusing, and I can't tell if it was because of a bad translation, or the writing itself. But I think the characters definitely make up for it -- Anzai especially! (He just hit all the right notes for me -- I'm excited for more of his story!) And I got attached to Anzai and Tsukasa pretty easily. Even though Anzai was the "white knight" to Tsukasa's damsel-in-distress a few times, he wasn't patronizing about it, which was very refreshing. You can tell Anzai is aware of how hard a human/vampire relationship will be, but that he wants to be with Tsukasa if he can/she wants him to be. He cares for Tsukasa in a way that allows her the choice to either continue or stop the relationship. I just like that he basically starts hanging out with her because they both know they're lonely. It was sweet. If the long-awaited announcement of a second season of Devils Line sees the light of day, we might expect a deeper dive into Anzai’s fascinating history. This season could mainly focus on Anzai’s quest to discover the true origin of his birth and the mysterious Hybrid Plan. This initiatory journey would lead him to Obihiro, a city that may well hold the secrets of his past. Tsukasa and Anzai’s relationship will inevitably keep growing. Tsukasa will eventually go and introduce Anzai to her parents. They even discuss their future and potential marriage together. Sadly though, the manga doesn’t go far enough into the future to give fans a wedding scene.

Nov 27 'Tis Time for "Torture," Princess' Anime's Ad Unveils shallm's Opening Song, January 8 Debut Anzai takes refuge with Tsukasa after being suspended. Meanwhile, the authorities are on the lookout for a missing murder suspect. What, Tsukasa and Anzai are in their early 20s? I thought they were teenagers. Their romance feels somewhat unconvincing, now, although I still like how sweet and cute it is. A decision of Tsukasa's was reminiscent of Vampire Knight: heroine decides to throw herself under the bus and offer her blood to a vampire she cares about. The perfect way to describe Devils’ Line would be “still a better love story than Twilight.” The anime is about a girl named Tsukasa Taira. She learns of the existence of vampires, or as the series refers to them, Devils. True to vampire romances, she meets a Devil/human hybrid named Yuuki Anzai, who she starts having feelings for.

Fans of the anime series “Devils Line” are eagerly awaiting the release of Season 2. After a thrilling first season filled with mystery and action, it’s time to dive once again into the dark and captivating universe of this series. In this article, we’ll reveal everything you need to know about the Season 2 release date, upcoming storylines, and cast. Hang on, because this new season promises to be even more intense and full of twists and turns. Devils Line: The Anime Devils Line Whilte reading this manga, I wasn't sure at first how I would like it, even though my tastes are all over the spectrum. In the beginning, the translations were difficult to follow while LOLScans was the main group working on it, however after chapter 28 someone else takes over, though I don't know who it is. They're scans were much better quality, and it was then easier to understand what was going on. A couple more characters are introduced in this volume, adding a little more complexity to the setting and/or story, but, on the whole, this is pure entertainment with plenty of light touches to counterbalance the horror. Devils' Line Anime Reveals Teaser Video, Character Visuals". Anime News Network. January 24, 2018 . Retrieved January 24, 2018. Immediately after Lieutenant Ishimaru issues a deployment ban on devils from the CCC, the police force ends up in a risky situation.

Vampires are referred to as "devils" and they certainly look like them when they transform. Like Bella with Edward Cullen, Tsukasa can tell when he has or hasn't fed by his eyes: he gets this sunken-in, baggy-eyed look when he hasn't had blood, which makes more sense than eyes changing color (although when he turns, his eyes become blood-shot). Also like Edward, he lurks around outside her balcony and watches her sleep, and Tsukasa is fascinated by him because he craves her blood and must resist. Finally, Netflix, with its global presence and growing commitment to original content, could also be a streaming choice for the second season of Devils Line. The platform has already proven its interest in Japanese animation series, with several exclusives to its credit. The guy who books him is a half-vampire, half-human hybrid named Anzai, who works as a sort of police officer among his kind, hauling in the bad guys who prey on humans and disrupt their way of life. We get to see several of the cases that he's working on before he's put on leave for beating up a teacher who assaults Tsukasa right before Anzai is supposed to meet her for hot pot. I also didn't dislike the artwork, at least as much as other people apparently. It was a little awkward in certain spots, but I liked the weirdness of it.Overall, this wasn't bad. I'm not sure I'll continue with the series but I had a lot of fun reading it.

The characters were rated 10/10 because, again, Ryo Hanada's development of them was simply awesome, the way they progressed, struggled, were careless, were caring, were brave, it was all very human of them and very in depth. I found myself liking several characters by the time I reached chapter 52, and not disliking quite as many as before. Though, I still firmly dislike a few, just because I find their personalities annoyingly written, as they remind me of real life people that I personally know. Although, the story was very reliant on Anzai and Tsukasa's relationship, and might be considered by some to be too insta-love, I think they work really well together as a couple. I personally just... liked their relationship? Might be a "it's only me" thing. (And side note: I'm starting to weigh that a little more with manga. I don't mind a little bit of insta-love because it is very common in a lot of shorter manga series, and based on the plot/titles of the manga, you sort of know what you're getting into anyway... so I forgive it more easily. But I do feel like it shouldn't overtake the story's main plot -- if you're forcing the two love interests to make out as much as possible over general plot development, that's obviously a problem.) If a second season were to see the light of day, it is very likely that the original cast of the anime will return, thus enriching the plot with new characters. “Devils Line” is, after all, based on a popular manga that captivated its readership with a complex plot and deeply developed characters.A sequel manga series titled Devils' Line II: Gyakushū began serialization in the same magazine in the March 2022 issue on January 20, 2022. [14] I have never personally heard of the new studio Platinum Vision before, most particularly they made Servamp (with Brain’s Base) and the spin-off from the Saiyuuki Reload series, but this anime just proves that just like many 2nd or 3rd rate studios, it falls in the category of being mediocre and bad. The manga-to-anime adaptation…is quite frankly nothing more of good. I get it that the producers tried their best to replicate the manga, but try as hard as they can, it still falls short. The animation is less than Tokyo Ghoul quality, more so than ripping it off, it’s bearable to watch but when the action gets heavy, RIP animation quality.
