Once you’ve got the heated area size, you’llalsoneed toconfirm your bathroom’s sub-floor type (the layer beneath your current flooring) andyour chosen floor finish you’ll be installing the heater with.Underfloor heating systemscan be used with almost all floorfinishes –from carpets to natural stonetiles andlaminate to vinyl. Systems such as Total-16 and Tectora feature diffusion plates in which to install the heating pipe. These plates evenly spread heat across the entire floor surface. Castellated Mat Lay the first run. At the end of the run cut the mat leaving the cable intact, turn the mat through 90º or 180º and continue laying. When the area is covered, adjust the mat until the loops are equal distance apart. Now attach the mat to the subfloor using the special tape supplied. Heating cables provide a flexible electric underfloor heating solution for irregular-shaped rooms or rooms featuring many fixed objects. Warmup heating cables and Loose Wire systems come without a membrane and are specifically designed for areas where you have many fittings to work around or irregularly shaped rooms when installing underfloor heating. Loose Wire System

To work out which system is best for your project, consider the room type, the size of the project and whether you will be installing a heater into a new-build or retrofitting into an older property.

Wattage and Heated Area

With a SafetyNet Installation Guarantee, your system is covered if you accidentally damage the heating system during installation, simply return it to Warmup and they will replace it with another heater of the same make and model for free. Key Features If you intend on using vinyl, carpet, timber, tiles or any other underfloor heating compatible floor finish, the system can (and should, in some cases like for carpet) be embedded within a self-levelling compound to provide a flat and level floor surface to lay over.

We would recommend one of our low-profile electric systems or our Total-16 hydronic system if you are retrofitting a heater or if your project has fixed ceiling heights. If you are building a home from the ground up, consider specifying a water system during the design stages of your project to take its dimensions into account.AutoSwitch technology that switches Warmup users to their most favourable tariff, for free and by election each year a new and better tariff appears Early Start function learns how long it takes to heat your room so it's up to temperature at the time you set

Divide the floor into a series of rectangles. From these measurements you can calculate how many mats you'll need and what sizes. Exclude permanent or static fixtures from your calculations. The 200W/m2 variant is best suited for rooms or areas with high heat loss, such as conservatories. It is recommended to carry out a heat-loss calculation to assess the heating requirements of the room, especially if using the underfloor heating system as a primary heat source under tiles in a high heat-loss area. Fast Installation

Warmup Smart Care is the next generation in customer service, providing real-time help for your floor heating needs. If your heating system isn’t working as it should, for instance if your room isn’t reaching its target temperature, the Warmup Smart Care team can help diagnose the problem remotely, often within a matter of minutes – without the need of a home visit from an engineer. Electric systems offer rapid installation times, have low-profile system dimensions and can be used in almost all project types. Electric floor heaters are available as either a Heating Mat system or a Heating Wire system. Utilising secured data from your Warmup Smart thermostat (including the 6iE and 4iE Smart WiFi Thermostats and Element WiFi Thermostat), the dedicated customer service agent can review your device’s settings and your heating system’s behaviour to not only troubleshoot but to enhance your home’s energy performance too. We’ll be able to explore your energy usage, suggesting ways to reduce energy wastage which can help save you money on your energy bills. You will need to install an RCD fused spur which powers the thermostatic controller/programmer and the matting system heating element network. Lay the temperature probe from the timer-thermostat onto the floor, equidistant between two of the cable loops, and attach it to the floor surface. Now take the unheated power supply cable from the end of the matting system, which should be positioned near the thermostat. Once all the connections have been made to the power supply, run the heater(s) to ensure they are heating up (no more than 10 minutes). The Loose Wire System (DWSWire System) is an incredibly flexible and durable cable that can easily be maneuvered around fixings. Loose Wire comes in a minimum heat output of 150W/m² but it’s variable depending on the spacing. The Loose Wire system can be bought as an electric underfloor heating kit that contains all the essential elements for it’s installation; the heating cable, primer, tape, roller and the installation manual.
