It is the story of Agnes Santorini and the one thing on her Christmas list. She has dreamed about a brown short-haired dachshund. She is certain this pup can save her aging heart. She learns that a local man has one that matches the description of the one she dreams about. She and her partner in crime, Gramma Finnie, join forces and go with their current doxies to get their hands on this pooch.

How refreshing when characters defy stereotype. Laurie, Andy's wife, is the type of person one aspires to be; kind, generous, compassionate toward people. She is an ex-cop, and very capable of taking care of herself and Andy. Andy, on the other hand, is a lawyer who keeps trying to retire from the law and is passionate about dogs. As a self-described weakling, he depends upon Laurie and the indomitable Marcus to protect him. There are interludes of Andy at home with his family and friends, yet they avoid the over-sentimentality such interaction can bring about. Laurie’s decency and spirit of giving last year-round, but especially come out during Christmastime. Of course, that would depend on whether your definition of Christmastime coincides with hers. The action and the fun never stop, and I enjoyed reading it very much . . . David Rosenfelt gets two paws up and a tail wag from me.” — Dogster Magazine Every marriage should have a balance; I think I read that somewhere once. It works that way with me and Laurie Collins, as she represents the human-decency side of our marriage. It’s not that I have inhuman decency, or human indecency; it’s just that I am comparatively agnostic on the subject. Fortunately, Laurie has me covered.

Products designed in Royal Worcester’s studio in Stoke-on-Trent, UK.<br /> Andy & Laurie have a Christmas tradition recently started of wishes from the needy on their tree rather than the usual decorations. One request was from Danny requesting a coat for Mom, a sweater for his dachshund and for his Dad to return since he had gone missing.Hinchliffe Stadium was a decayed relic of a time gone by in Paterson. In its day it was the scene of minor league baseball games, high school football, auto racing, and some important boxing matches. But it had fallen into terrible disrepair and wasn’t designated as a historical landmark until eight years after Kristen had breathed her last. A number of years ago, I left the movie marketing business, to the sustained applause of hundreds of disgruntled producers and directors. I decided to try my hand at writing. I wrote and sold a bunch of feature films, none of which ever came close to being actually filmed, and then a bunch of TV movies, some of which actually made it to the small screen. It's safe to say that their impact on the American cultural scene has been minimal. He is also involved in another trial. A policeman is retiring, but the Department insists his arthritic police dog must work another year regardless of the dog's physical condition. Andy sues the Police Department for species discrimination.
