The hat was made by the Australian hat company Akubra. Founded in 1874, the popularity of the Dundee hat helped the company gain traction in hat sales, especially in rural communities. All their hats are made in Australia. The Darwin is made from Kangaroo which is an ultralight and durable leather that is perfect for warmer climates, especially since it is rated with a Ultraviolet Protection Factor of 50+. The lowered pinched crown made from the Grain Roo leather means its super comfy and the medium brim will keep the sun out of your eyes. Wrap a tape measure or a piece of string (if you use string, you'll need a ruler as well) around your head so that it is above your eyebrows and about 1cm / half and inch above your ears.
