There were some interesting developments, but it definitely wasn't as strong as the first three volumes, which have been my favorites so far. I will say, though, Tenma being able to piece together the crime scene just like Lunge, a seasoned investigator, was somewhat unbelievable to me. Nina has also pieced the puzzle together, after Lotte showed her the picture book Obluda (which made Johan faint earlier) and is also headed for the library. Upon finding the former director of that address, Grimmer discovers a group of young boys who seem to be going through a similar experiment in what happened years ago. As long as it assuages my worries about its possible plot directions and explains the ending of this one, the next volume should be just as good.

This series is incredibly strong in the story department and keeps revealing even more fascinating characters. Naoki Urasawa's unforgettable thriller follows a brilliant doctor's journey into the darkest depths of the human soul. He loves it when people scatter before him, when they behave like a line of ants, to be grazed at by him whenever he wishes. I really thought that Kemp was Jurgen's abusive mother, but it seemed that Johan somehow got him to project his mother on Kemp? Whilst Johan finds this bemusing for now, it will later become more important as he desperately wants to evoke a violent reaction from Tenma.the last volume must have been a bump in the road cause I feel like this one has gone back to what I love most about the series: the mystery, the interesting side characters and the little surprises/twists. socorro, o nível do suspense com relação ao passado do Johan se elevou a níveis altíssimos, com as histórias sobre o Kinderheim 511 e aquela reprodução do livro infantil q perturbou tanto o Monstro. This series is so rich and in depth that it takes me an absolute AGE to read but then when the final pages arrive, I'm shocked that it's over.

Also, I am excited to know that Johan actually exists because if it was just a Tyler Durden case, I would have been pretty disappointed - well, again I am not 100% sure this is the case, but for all we know, Lunge is wrong and I am looking forward to seeing how he will react. It’s the fire at the library, Schubald discovers Johan, Tenma finds he can’t kill Johan, and saves the people. Side note: if anyone knows why like 5 random pages in the middle of the manga are coloured instead of black and white, please help a girl out. He is perhaps best known for Monster (which drew praise from Junot Díaz, the 2008 Pulitzer Prize winner) and 20th Century Boys. The reveal regarding Rudi thinking that Tenma was indeed the serial killer responsible for the murders he believed were Johan's doing was satisfying and believable given all the build up.This volume has everything good about this manga (so far): the side stories with people who get involved in the main conflict unwillingly (though they are not always innocent), the Jean-Javier fight between Tenma and Lunge, and Nina getting into action. Conspiracy and serial murder open the door to a compelling, intricately woven plot in this masterpiece manga thriller. Tak disangka, si kakek merupakan seorang anggota polisi yang sudah pensiun sehingga membuat Tenma cukup deg-degan, khawatir ia akan ditangkap. I really liked the Easter egg of the serial killer the psychologist is studying being modeled after Edmund Kemper, (Now Mindhunter). sure, it was divided into smaller plotlines that follow a couple of the key players, but all but one of those was directly related to the main plot, and didn't feel like diversions to help random people.

Tomorrow Will be Sunny (ch 39) was tense due to Roberto knowing that Muller knew something, and him secretly keeping the latter's family hostage. Meanwhile, in southern France, the other cop from the night of Nina's parents' death (Michael) is spending time with his family. It felt like not much happened and it focused more on some of the subplots than on the main plot (which I find to be the most interesting). Ogni nuovo personaggio aggiunge quel quid in più che manca alle altre storie e rende questa universalmente bella.Grimmer is such a fantastic character because he's a good guy at heart but completely broken by his childhood trauma, which still makes you feel kind of on edge when you're reading about him. Nina lowering the gun as Muller begged for his life was parallel to that of Tenma finally deciding to save the Lawyer when he admitted being afraid of death.
