Holder soon befriends Sky and starts to spend more time with her, but Sky herself doesn't seem to have any idea who Holder is. I definitely do not think it was as strong as the first book in what it provided, but I need to think about what the experience gave me as to how I'll rate it in the end. When their hour is up and the girl rushes off like Cinderella, Daniel tries to convince himself that what happened between them seemed perfect only because they were pretending it was. Probably because it wasn't as though I was just re-reading them, I was actually re-experiencing them through Holder's eyes. Just when I thought it couldn’t get better, Colleen Hoover comes and just knocks it out of the park!

I will only say that this was already an amazing story under Sky’s POV and it was even a greater one under Holder’s. well, I was completely wrong because in Losing Hope this author once again astounded me with her brilliance and Losing Hope did indeed exceed my expectations. For every fan that wanted more Holder, for every fan that wanted to experience the story from his point of view. I didn't think much of it while reading the first book, but when I got to read the story from his pov, it felt so random. I haven’t spoken to her since Monday and the only thing that sounds appealing besides being with her is wallowing alone in self-pity.I quickly step in between them and shove Daniel against the locker with my arm, keeping it pressed against his chest. You all know what comes after that, cute but absolutey hot moments, also completely heartbreaking, that keep you hooked until the very end. He feels guilty about what happened with his sister and decide to leave the they lived in with their mother and his moves back in with his dad. I don't know if that's the reason that this book was written, but I can't help but think that it was the author giving in to fans demands. Towards the end of the novel, a revelation's made where Holder finds out his mother knew who kidnapped Hope and withheld the information from him after she (along with Les) came across Hope and her aunt in a diner. His humour and the wonderful interaction between all the characters perfectly offsets the sadness you feel throughout the book.In Losing Hope , Holder reveals the way in which the events of Sky’s youth affected him and his family, leading him to seek his own redemption in the act of saving her. In Hopeless, Sky left no secret unearthed, no feeling unshared, and no memory forgotten, but Holder’s past remained a mystery. If you think you can’t then I encourage you to get the support you need through awareness from this book. My expectations were high, and well, this is Colleen Hoover we are talking about, so I wasn't the least worried.

Not to mention, if you have shared characters between both stories, you have to develop them as well. Because it had been almost 2 years since reading the first book, reading from Holder's point of view was a fresh perspective and didn't feel like a reread of a book I already read. The biggest issue, and the main reason for me giving it one star, is the fact that I got to read the same story, not twice, but three times. It wasn’t just steamy, it was just such a vital and pivotal point in the read and I am so glad it was written the way it was written.
