Missing from The Chosen Collection DVD boxed set is all of the material from that set’s bonus disc, which includes an introduction by Joss Whedon, Back to the Hellmouth: A Conversation with Creators and Cast, Breaking Barriers: It’s Not a Chick Fight Thing, Love Bites: Relationships in the Buffyverse, Evil Fiends, Buffy: An Unlikely Role Model, and Buffy Cast and Crew: Favorite Episodes. Countless pieces of merchandise were spawned and the series is still popular amongst its long-time fans.

For an assessment of the film (and, below, technical aspects of the film) I refer you to my colleague Michael Reuben's Buffy the Vampire Slayer Blu-ray review of the previously released version. The first season of the “Buffy” blu-ray set establishes the premise of the show and focuses more on action as a result.

For more about Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the Buffy the Vampire Slayer Blu-ray release, see Buffy the Vampire Slayer Blu-ray Review published by Michael Reuben on September 16, 2011 where this Blu-ray release scored 2.

For Season Five (Discs 22-27), there’s an audio commentary on Real Me by David Fury and David Grossman; an audio commentary on Fool for Love by Doug Petrie; an audio commentary on I Was Made to Love You by Jane Espenson; an audio commentary on The Body by Joss Whedon; seven featurettes ( Buffy Abroad, Casting Buffy, Demonology: A Slayer’s Guide, Action Heroes! Superstar', 'Where the Wild Things Are', 'New Moon Rising', 'The Yoko Factor', 'Primeval' and 'Restless'. We find Hilary Swank in her film debut along with David Arquette, Stephen Root, Thomas Jane and a “blink and you’ll miss him” turn from Ben Affleck. Buffy loses her bedroom at home after moving to the dormitories at the University of California at Sunnydale, Willow realizes something life-altering about herself, Giles goes through a mid-live crisis, and Xander meanders his way through a series of part-time, dead-end jobs while living in his parents’ basement.Greenberg; an audio commentary on Hell’s Bells by David Solomon and Rebecca Rand Kirshner; an audio commentary on Normal Again by Rick Rosenthal and Diego Gutierrez; an audio commentary on Grave by James A. As expected, this kinda sorta repackaging includes the same meager supplements Michael detailed in his Buffy the Vampire Slayer Blu-ray review.

Whedon seems afraid to push too hard down one particular path, so each of these genres comes across as lackluster. Contner; six featurettes ( Hush, The Sets of Sunnydale, Spike Me, Buffy: Inside the Music, Oz Revelations: A Full Moon, Season 4 Overview); scripts for Fear Itself, Hush, and Who Are You? If you haven't watched through the entirety of both "Buffy" and "Angel," there will most likely be a lot of spoilers.
