Starting in this role a year ago, I had two key aims: to recruit a highly skilled digital learning team and to launch a contemporary learning environment that offers inclusive and accessible education to all. I am over the moon to have achieved both of those aims, and I can't wait for the Trust (and beyond) to access The Den. Amy Leanord, Head of Education for Digital Learning

The hospital is also actively engaging with Transport for London and Camden Council to seek better and safer cycling routes. Improved air quality around the hospital will also benefit patients and families. Mark Hayden, Paediatric Cardiac Intensivist at GOSH is passionate about the benefits of making the hospital more cycle friendly. He said: Kathy has a passion for learning and education and thoroughly enjoys creating engaging and informative digital learning resources. The impact she would like to make is to support the GLA in providing a transformative education through the projects she will be supporting on and to apply her knowledge and experiences to effectively support the integration of technology into teaching, learning and assessment.

After a couple of years in customer service, she decided to join the NHS due to her interest in the sciences and a desire to work somewhere that made a greater impact on people’s lives. Harriet joined GOSH from another Trust over 6 years ago and has been part of the GOSH Learning Academy (GLA) since before its inception, working in the Nursing & Non-medical Education team, before joining the Digital Learning team in March 2023. She was a key member in setting up the GOSH Scholarship Awards, which helps to fund Continuing professional development (CPD) for all GOSH staff and is passionate about supporting education and career progression for those in non-clinical roles. What excites Harriet about digital learning is how digital technology can bring newer, more exciting ways to learn to help make education accessible to all. He has gained experience and qualifications in Instructional Design over the past 4 years, culminating in him being crowned “Learning Developer of the year 2020” and the Learning Technologies awards and he looks forward to being a key member of the team driving GOSH learning forward and innovating training to ensure GOSH is at the forefront of the digital learning industry. We also provide a range of inter-professional programmes that are intended to support the professional development needs of all medical, non-medical and administrative staff.
