Pale gray painted walls will make for a cool and airy space with midnight blue accessories or furniture. Midnight blue is a very dark color that can do wonders in a small space to make it feel bigger. This is contrary to everything we have previously been led to believe since, for many decades, we have been told that paler colors reflect light and therefore give the illusion of more space. This shade of blue was aptly named after a dress that was designed in this color for Queen Charlotte of England in the early 1800s. Sapphire blue Reseal tin after use. Clean up any spills immediately with water. Wash brushes in warm, soapy water. Always ensure you have enough paint for your whole project. When more than 1 tin of the same colour is needed, it is good practice to ensure batch numbers are identical or to intermix batches prior to commencing painting. Fusion stays good for 7 years when it is stored in an airtight container. We like to put a sheet of plastic wrap between the jar and the lid if we know we aren’t going to be using it in a while, as that helps to keep the air out! Fusion is a 100% acrylic paint with no fillers! Our pigments are all derived from natural minerals, and our paint is 100% non-toxic with no lead, and no phthalates. Plus - it’s got a built-in top coat that is UV, water, and stain resistant - meaning you don’t have to wax or seal it!

Yes! Fusion is water and UV resistant, so it can last through rain and won’t fade in the sun. It’s been tried and tested - it will last through a Canadian winter! Surface preparation required in addition to the above – clean with Frenchic Sugar Soap, rinse and dry thoroughly. Hand-sand sufficiently to abrade the surface. Wipe off any dust, paint away! For a great demonstration, see our video. Avoid painting in direct sunlight, only when the air and surface temperatures are between 10 oC and 32 oC and humidity is less than 85%. Do not apply if, in the following 48 hours, there is likelihood of rain, frost, fog, condensation or if the temperature is likely to drop lower than 10 oC. This means that certain times of the year are unsuitable for painting outside projects - as a general rule of thumb Summer is recommended. A midnight blue rug will be classy and elegant on a hardwood floor, while midnight blue velvet drapes will add a subtle glamor to a window frame. Furniture paintThe deep warmth of mustard yellow provides a cozy feel in a midnight blue room. Opt for mustard cushions on a midnight blue sofa for a rich contrast or mustard yellow heavy suede curtains against a midnight blue painted wall. To make a room with midnight blue walls feel more inviting, opt for tan leather or faux leather sofas. Tan is a warm shade that is considered a light brown with a hint of orange and, therefore, can be perceived as a neutral color. Also suitable for interior wood, concrete and most laminate floors with correct application – please note that maintenance may be required in these situations.
