and then Jax took one for the team. Why? Again with the whole 17 year old how unrealistic can this get?Anyways, enough gushing on my end. I can see how this wouldn't be for everyone, it's a little bit OTT but it really worked for me. I can't wait to read the rest of the series! The overall plot. For one, it felt like a rehash of Jared and Tate's "I-hate-you-but-I-love-you" story line. I thought the forbidden aspect would be the main thing that holds the whole story together. There were echoes of it, for sure but they are just that, echoes. The reason why it left me unsatisfied was when the book started, the forbidden part already happened. That moment where they started their relationship happened off screen. Most of the book was just dealing with the aftermath of their forbidden relationship. I was expecting to see more of it, instead we get Fallon and Madoc hating each other the first half of the book pretty much like Jared and Tate in their book.
