As the scent develops, the heart notes take you deeper into the Miami experience. Sugar cane, ylang-ylang, jasmine, and osmanthus blend harmoniously, like a stroll through the city's lush gardens and colorful neighborhoods. It's an olfactory journey that reflects Miami's rich blend of influences and passions. Now, I have an old-ish formulation. Apparently the old supplier had ingredients not permitted for safety reasons. I'm not quite sure how a microbrand could sell something like this and not offer some type of recourse to the people who bought it. Oh well. I'm sure it's still safer than bug spray though so I'll probably use it on clothing only (not on skin) on occasion. In October 2000 the first bottle of Grace Tropical Rhythms came off the production line at Grace Food Processing Canning and was officially launched to the Jamaican market in November. Twenty years later, the iconic brand is well-loved and available in the United States of America, Canada, the United Kingdom and the Caribbean! City Rhythm Miami, a fragrance that captures the vibrant soul of the Magic City. The opening notes of coconut and lime instantly transport you to Miami's pristine beaches, where the tropical breeze carries a sense of carefree joy. Saffron adds a touch of exotic allure, mirroring the city's diverse and vibrant culture. The bongo drums, hailing from Afro-Cuban traditions, introduce a fascinating duality within their compact design. Consisting of two distinct drums, the larger hembra and the smaller macho, bongos produce contrasting pitches that intertwine to create a complex soundscape. This captivating interplay finds its home in both Latin American and tropical music, where the bongos’ high-pitched articulation punctuates the melodies with an unmistakable flair.

A Houston-native, my love for the islands in the middle of the Pacific made its way to the Lone Star State. At the tender age of 5, I began my journey as a hula dancer and was taught in many halaus (hula schools). I currently am a halau dancer at Halau Hula Olana from Pearl City, Hawaii. Under the direction of Kumu Hula (hula teacher) Howard and Olana Ai, but was originally a student of their daughter - Natalie Ai Kamauu, 5 time Na Hoku Hanohano winner, Miss Aloha Hula 1990 (the gold medalist of hula crowned at the prestigious Merrie Monarch festival), and Grammy award winning artist. I also competed in Tahitian dance and learned under Perle Renvoye, Heiva I Tahiti 2018 winner. And currently under the direction of Kanani Asuega, 2019 'Ori Tahiti World Championship, 1st Place Award winner. Grace Tropical Rhythms is an authentic Jamaican beverage; a delicious and exciting blend of fruits and vegetables that represent the distinctiveness of the Caribbean and its people.
