In 1998, it was given greater prominence as a founding member of the Classic Malts Selection when the age was upped to 10 years. Nose: Rather fresh and bright, with a subtle but certainly noticeable coastal influence and a few whiffs of peat. Most importantly, however, is that Talisker Storm represents a significant shift in the single malt whisky space toward focusing on the character of a whisky over its age. As a no-age-statement bottling, the Storm plays on the peaty nature of their malt, with much more of that signature Talisker heat.
