With some exceptions that I will not spoil (since A Song of Ice and Fire is ground-zero of the Spoiler Wars), Fire and Blood does nothing to enrich A Song of Ice and Fire and refuses to be enriched in turn. However, if you’ve read anything he produced after A Storm of Swords, it should be very clear that he's struggling with his series. It's almost impossible to follow this story without having to hand a large map of Westeros and the surrounding world and also a family tree for all of those mentioned in the book.
