Device Pairing and Compatibility If you can live without the Numpad on a keyboard there are some serious benefits to getting this downsized model as, despite its smaller size, a few useful features have been included that would have made remote working during the Covid-19 pandemic a little easier. The MX Keys Mini’s most impressive feature, in my opinion, is its ability to connect with up to three devices simultaneously through Bluetooth or the Bolt receiver. This capability makes transitioning between devices as easy as pressing a button (F1, F2, or F3), a process that takes just a couple of seconds. This convenience is invaluable if you manage multiple computers and prefer to use a single keyboard and mouse.

The Logitech MX Keys Mini is a compact wireless keyboard that comes in a sleek and slim profile, making it a perfect fit for small desks or workspaces. Its size is slightly larger than the Keyboard on a 14-inch Macbook Laptop, the buttons are more spread out with more spaces in between providing a comfortable typing experience. You can work on multiple computers with your MX Keys Mini. With a Flow-enabled Logitech mouse, such as MX Anywhere 3, you can also work and type on multiple computers with the same mouse and keyboard using Logitech Flow technology. But when it comes to being a keyboard for raw productivity, the MX Keys Mini is incredibly comfortable to type on. Each key is sized just right and the travel distance is just right so as to keep your fingers engaged while minimizing discomfort. The LED on the Easy-Switch button should rapidly blink. If not, perform a long press for three seconds. You can use the mouse cursor to move from one computer to the next. MX Keys Mini keyboard will follow the mouse and switch computers at the same time. Your keyboard can be paired with up to three different computers using the Easy-Switch button to change the channel. If you are a Windows, Linux, or Android user, your special characters will be on the right side of the key: You can disable “standard function keys” in the Logitech Options software. This allows you to control the volume using the F11, F12, and Ins keys without holding down the fn key. However, if you want to use the standard function keys (F1, F2, etc), you’d have to press the fn key first.

First, let’s talk about a few issues regarding the device pairing process and compatibility of the Logitech MX Keys Mini. If you are a macOS or iOS user, your characters and special keys will be on the left side of the key:

For MacBook users, the keyboard conveniently connects via Bluetooth, eliminating the need for an additional adapter. Your keyboard is compatible with multiple operating systems (OS): Windows 10 or later, macOS 10.15 or later, iOS 13.4 or later, iPadOS 14 or later, Linux, ChromeOS, and Android 5 or later. The keyboard is also entirely wireless, Bluetooth specifically as Logitech has stated it believed in the capabilities of Bluetooth over wireless dongles (though the MX Keys Mini is compatible with the Logi Bolt USB Reciever), so you can't use the device with a connected USB-C.
