FIFA World Cup™ Player Pool: Featuring up-to-date squads from every qualified nation with refreshed ratings, FIFA World Cup™ Ultimate Team gives you everything you need to build your international dream squad. It's far from a home console, it's handheld with TV out, for me anyways and others that say the same thing on here, but if it is a home console to others, then good for them, don't you just love different opinions or maybe i should just have yours, nah. In fact, FIFA for Switch is a triumph, a validation of Nintendo’s vision: that, much like smartphones, consoles are increasingly all the same, separated by a few small differences in looks and power. Double Pack Incentive: For every Standard or Premium pack you purchase in FIFA World Cup™ Ultimate Team, you will receive equivalent pack value in FUT 18.

FIFA 18 on Switch is at its best when playing a straight-up match, but that’s largely because it offers little else. Celebrate The World's Game in EA SPORTS F As Lazarescu explained at the time, EA looks at the Switch version as a “completely different FIFA experience on a completely different platform. Skill Games: Hone your skills playing individual mini-games focused on dribbling, passing, shooting, defending and more. The article does make the point several times that - despite its focus on (lack of) certain features - that what we have here is a fantastic football game and generally solid product. For those new to it, Ultimate Team is one of the most addictive things to happen to football games, and sports games in general (which is why it’s since been imitated in PES, NBA 2K, Madden, NHL and the like).

The commentary is crisp and varied, the crowd noises are a treat and load times are reasonable (with the series’ ever-present skill games on offer to keep you busy while you wait, but we found you can jump into the game in seconds anyway). In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute any prize for an alternative of equal or greater value. The EA Sports Football Club feature – in which you earn points as you play the game which can then be spent on historic kits, different balls, new goal celebrations and Ultimate Team coin boosts – is nowhere to be seen, meaning all that content is missing. But when you hold FIFA 18 Switch - as a portable game - up to the likes of FIFA’s past PS Vita, 3DS and other mobile versions it sits comfortably at the very top as the best ever made. If you throw everything from the get go to a completely new player base, you might not get the desired result.

The review does read like a list of questioning EA's decision to not include features but also tries to hit home that what remains is high quality stuff for what it is.

So I don't get how a Switch version that doesn't look as nice, has a weaker engine, lacks features and modes and has fairly poor online can get the same score. With the game now out, and headlining one of Switch’s most-packed release weeks yet, we have a clearer picture of what is — and what isn’t — included in the Switch version of FIFA 18, as well as some explanation from previous EA interviews about these features’ respective absences. I can understand why to an extent, but it severely restricts your ability to manage your team on the fly – and there are offline tournaments.

Echoing the belief that the Switch version is meant to be a different experience, Lazaercu said EA views the Switch FIFA as a more social iteration. electrolite77 I don't agree at all with your comment(s) and I'm not a fan of the absolutist tone of your speech either, the main reason why I always hesitate to answer you. Feature packed, you can now play the world's game anytime, anywhere and in unique ways with FIFA 18 on Nintendo Switch.

The only people who should have any reservations are those who use their Switch primarily as a home console and want the "definitive" experience. Now here we are with FIFA 18 on Switch, the first FIFA game on a Nintendo home console for half a decade, and the spin machine’s out in full force again. I appreciate most people probably won't care about this and it doesn't take anything away from the game play as such but as a Liverpool fan I find it disappointing. It’s hard not to be impressed with FIFA 18 on the Switch, but it’s also hard to overlook the omissions and silly little things that hold it back.
