It felt like Isabella took things from my brain, that I could never say out loud, and put them into words.

Regardless, so many lines within this collection resonated with me incredibly deeply - I loved the vulnerability and authenticity present throughout.

This was a surprise I actually almost given up on reading modern poetry because a lot of it’s just really bad or Instagram or Hallmark card But this actually had a lot of thought and a lot of feeling but into it it does hit on some very hard-hitting topics so I don’t think this is gonna be for everybody but if you’re looking for a good new poetry book this is a good place to start not every poem is a slam dunk but I’d have to say this makes me still want to read Moner poetry. Sir Michael Caine knows a thing or two about gangs: whether that’s joining one as a kid, or playing them in movies for over 50 years. Bob Johansson has just sold his software company for a small fortune and is looking forward to a life of leisure. For Arthur Dent, who has only just had his house demolished that morning, this seems already to be more than he can cope with.

isabella’s book was created to, in her own words, ‘give people the comfort of knowing they are not alone in their emotions’. I have listened to so many of her poems on TikTok, and many of them resonate better spoken than read, so I would definitely recommend listening to her read her poetry before reading this to better understand the face and voice behind these words.from relationships, to body image, to mental health, 'how sunflowers bloom under moonlight' has the sole purpose of making you giggle, cry, smile, reflect and cry a little bit more. Random House presents the audiobook edition of Ikigai by Héctor García and Francesc Miralles, read by Noako Mori. whenever your heart tells you to, pick up this book, flip to a random page and let the universe give you the poem you need most.
