I've listened to tracks on this album hundreds of times and this does not hold a candle to the original 1990 CD mix or the 2003 digital remaster.

Need more time to compare but this sounds perhaps clearer than my CD, the drums are maybe slightly better better defined but my first impression is that it does sound overly shrill and exhausting at times. A rare thing with the Cocteau's, just about understandable lyrics, but still with that ethereal winsomeness that is such a trade-mark of all their albums. Wolf in the Breast', again, a lovely soft melody, with a gently howling guitar, but a harmony that just keeps reminding me, somehow, of late Beach Boys.
