The game rules are printed on the leaflet inside the box and there's a shortener version on the back of the tin.

Suitable for ages 7+ meant that this was perfect for all of us as my youngest is 8 and he really enjoyed this and particularly got excited as the Queen chased us all around the board and loved crossing the board using the secret passageways. We love the concept of the game where Ben and his Granny go on a journey across London to steal the Crown Jewels! Nevertheless, that same morning, Ben discovered an unusual tin that contains diamonds, rings, bracelets, necklaces and earrings! All of the GANGSTA Tokens are placed diamond side up in the Jewel House on the board and players travel around and collect them. To win the game, players have to collect all their own colour jewels to complete the word ‘Gangsta’. You are chased around the board by The Queen, who never enters the Jewel House portion of the board. In rare cases, they may have very slight scratches on the packaging due to warehousing / storage and transport. This fantastic, easy-to-play family board game stars the characters from The World of David Walliams award-winning book, Gangsta Granny.

It would have been excellent marks for usefulness and being Earth-friendly if it hadn't included a big plastic insert. You'll need a couple of minutes to set up before play, and before first play through you need to press out all of the double sided cardboard Diamond/GANGSTA Tokens. If you have young readers then the chances are you've heard of Gangsta Granny, the children's book by comedian and author David Walliams. Moving around the board, players aim to collect all the letters and at any time can choose to head to the ‘Stash the Swag’ square where they can safely stash their jewels.Players then keep the Jewel on their play pieces’ pocket till they pass the swag bag and they can put it safely on the appropriate letter in the word Gangsta of their own colours. When someone does manage to collect all of the jewels and spell out the word ‘Gangsta’ they become the winner of game!

We were sent our copy of Gangsta Granny Stash The Swag Board Game from Paul Lamond Games for review. Gangsta Granny Stash The Swag Board Game is very much a game of chance, with the skill being the decision to try and stash your tokens or collect some more first. The aim of the game is to collect all the letter ‘jewels' to spell out the word GANGSTA but watch out because the Queen is on the prowl!
