There is a hint of grapefruit and mandarin at the top for sure, but after 30 minutes the salty aquatic accord is all you're left with. Thereafter the stultifying Amberwood bomb kicks in (quite literally, I could feel it in my solar plexus) and will. Only real downside is that the lower the temperature is (even in late spring weather) the more the marine and "dead-fish smell" take over to most noses but don't worry about this in the summer. It is increased in every dimension, which leads to nuance that you simply don't get with the regular version.

With its fruity and floral facets, elegant marigold blends this accord into the fragrance's heart notes: a wave of glowing, heady jasmine petals. On its own i get what people say about it coming across as too salty sea like and could be mistaken for off putting scent. The new batch Dec 2021 smells more natural and closer to the original Light Blue but has weak projection and I can barely detect it 3 hours later. Differences arent that huge but they are done slightly on the specific notes to make a noticable difference. most of them starts off with good intentions then their audience grow up and they reveal their dark facets after a little while.

Don't get me wrong, it smells pleasant (similar to Eau Intense but toned down a bit), but it's hardly there. I wear Light Blue Forever more than I wear this, it just feels more freshing with less of a sweet finish that compliments African summers more. After a couple of hours there is a slightly sweet woody base and also more common, because it reminds me of other fragrances I have smelled.

Light Blue Intense for men is a sharper, more savory and aromatic fragrance, lacking the musky-vanillic-lemon sweetness. Also i am spraying them on my girlfriend (she hates it) to test if i go nose blind to them and to see if it feels different on someone else's skin. Its not a bad fragrance, but this is the most boring and characterless of the Dolce Light Blues varieties I own.Oh and I see the reviews below, and want to say that the ambrox (off my skin) is in the background and thankfully on the light side. It’s a very good aquatic, that delivers a pleasant smell, and does a fine job at not quitting early. I layered it with Versace Man Eau Fraiche and Lacoste Essential and the compliments were, better than great, simply amazing. This marine accord existed in the original Light Blue Pour Homme, but it was never the focus, and here it rules with an iron fist without any herbal accompaniment. Light Blue Eau Intense has all the aspects of making knees weak and thighs perspire with the added bonus of lasting in the heat.

So if you get this and think you don't like it, make sure to try layering it with others before you shelve or sell it. Clinical oceanic freshness that lasts all day but surprisingly doesn't boom from skin is what you get here, making Light Blue Eau Intense Pour Homme the safe choice for the boyfriend who doesn't like "wearing cologne".Summer Vibes has more of a citrusy bergamot and lemon style, but there are also some green notes and the classic salty-marine DNA of the original Light Blue and the Intense version, but in this version the marine accord is less prominent, because the more outstanding is the citrus-herbal accord. Pretty impressive fragrance for its performance, love the freshness cuz that totally suits summer wear. Maybe I’m crazy but this smells exactly like when you first walk in to the movie theater and you can smell clean air and buttery popcorn. I had hours and hours of Lacoste Essential on when layered with this without having to respray once and it was a constant ability to smell it over the Light Blue Eau Intense.

This was mostly because I had read too many reviews on this fragrance here on fragrantica, but I bought after some months, right before summer was about to start. Its stunning presentation, olfactory mastery, and versatility make it an essential addition to any fragrance collection.

I can’t do a projection review because I never test it on other people (soon) however it’s strong if you smell it up close until around 6 hour. I kind of like it, but I can fully understand if someone thinks this is a bit too heavy on that salty thing.
