Description

The Nerf Disk Shot features its own disc ammunition, but acts as a target-launching accessory rather than a blaster.

As far as homemade clips are concerned, I'm interested but can't help much due to lacking a Praxis/Nitron. Once you hit go, the unit will flash for several seconds before firing all the targets, one at a time. Also, from what I've seen, the geometry of the cross-section of the disc seems to be important to its flight characteristics.

Some of the technologies we use are necessary for critical functions like security and site integrity, account authentication, security and privacy preferences, internal site usage and maintenance data, and to make the site work correctly for browsing and transactions. It also has a set of iron sights on the end of the blaster, as well as a strap point on the handle for a strap, bandolier, or another carrying device. Trying to use this as a blaster wouldn’t work anyway, due to the launch sequence and spin up times needed. I just picked up a Praxis today, and I was interested that the centers of the discs are made of rubber, rather than hard plastic. The 2011 Nerf Vortex series featured XLR Discs, which were much thicker in size, making them more accurate and able to glide further distances when shot.

Mine are dead ends - the bumper heads because the exposed washer edges, and the nutheads because they're still chunks of hot glue, and aren't as safe as slugs, or as MHA's RTV heads. Also, I think any thin plastic would do; if you have containers/bins of things like pretzel rods or other items, the plastic is pretty thin, and would work for the top of the discs. Actually didn't need to use this in my current version of disc-making, but just throwing this out there as a possible mold material. You have to hold down the bottom button to spin up the firing mechanism, and if you hold down the traditional trigger with that bottom button held down, you fire the discs. We'll have dead ends and WTFs along the way as we determine once-and-for-all if it's worth it to make replacement discs.

There’s a noticeable pause as the launcher registers that there’s another disc in the queue, and then spins up the flywheel again. This gun has good range, fires discs with enough force to sting in a very slight way, and is fun to use.The bumper heads were a hemispherical mold, and the washer had exposed edges and was not consistently centered. So you need solid durable material for the inner edge, and it needs to be fairly light so it goes somewhere.
