The Johanna is an enclosed container with a perforated integrated base plate that allows access to worms and micro-organisms while deterring rodents. The best combination is one part garden waste (or soil, planing shavings, sawdust) to two parts kitchen scraps.

This robust composter is designed with a modular screw-locked system that cleverly reduces the risk of rodents entering the bin. However, it does fit snuggly together once you check and realign the section after each screw before continuing.
