See, I was looking forward to reading this, the writing is good, easy and nice to read, but the whole "daddy" thing is not for me. The title and the dedicatory are so extra 😂 it sets the tone for the kind of dark humor you're going to find inside. Sarah Blue created an universe with demons and witches and other supernatural creatures, and combined it with some of my favorite kinky tropes, a superb chosen family, and the most addictive characters and side characters.My parents raised their kids, lovingly and selflessly taken care of their four aging parents, and they even shared their home with two parents for twelve years, becoming empty nesters only recently. This was my first read from Sarah and after finishing this book I can tell you I will be exploring her back list. He raised us with values of putting your whole heart into everything you do no matter what, which stuck with me my whole life and it’s the vaules that I built glamnetic with. And like his conversation with Emma about “moments”, he is finding the good in a bad situation and trying to enjoy it and do everything he can to help her in the way she needs instead of dwell on the bad (that she is all grown up and doesn’t need the kind of advice they missed out on giving).It might take more than she’s willing to give to untangle herself from the lies and chaos she’s created. Throw in some spice, a bit of mystery, and you get an easy, fun read that will keep you amused and entertained. Dax has been sent by Lucifer on a mission to find out who is using the humans of Hallowsdeep as vessels, ultimately destroying them because they can’t handle the power. Blair gives me a smile that makes me feel like I’m worth something, like the little assurance of only wanting her means the world. it's so easy to get into and quite frankly the perfect book if you want something in between long and dense books.
