You tend to want to over spray this fragrance because it becomes INCREDIBLE in the dry down but its a skin scent at this point. I have also found that it is indeed linear, thankful for that, it is pure magic to smell on yourself as far as a scent goes. It reminded me of the vetyver in Encre Noire, way toned down and very well blended with some nice stuff. When I'm wearing Extreme, most of compliments that I get are in spring and in summer, sometimes in fall. The Oak moss and coriander play nicely with the sweeter notes to lend more depth without surpassing them. Agree with all the feedbacks about the opening blast that hits the nose and the EXTREMELY superb concoction of a base note, and have been disappointed that Bvlgari couldnt amp up the base/drydown which is the best part of this perfume.I admit there are few individual notes I can discern, the composition is seamless and definitely adds up to more than the sum of its parts. Usually I associate "woody", with a deeper, winter-type fragrance, but this is a good fresh fragrance even in hot weather. I fell in love with the drydown of this fragrance, the creamy woodiness is somewhat reminiscent of Chanel style.
