Under this very attractive bottle, Duppy Share rum is a blend of rums from Barbados (Foursquare), aged 3 years in American oak barrels and rums of 5 years of age from Jamaica, distillery and estate of W orthy Park then bottled in London by The Wesbourne Drinks Co. Which in fairness doesn’t sent the benchmark all that high but it isn’t just better than those rums. Presentation wise the rum comes in the familiar stubby, rounded The Duppy Share bottle complete with chunky cork topper. It has been available in most major retailers and UK supermarket chain Morrison’s for quite some time now.

The Duppy Share White is a 100 % Jamaican white rum with an irresistible taste of mango, thyme, banana and white pepper. After asking online, I’ve been told this is a blend of rums from Hampden, Clarendon and Worthy Park.Absolutely suitable for sipping neat to appreciate that full-bodied flavour profile, and it'll also do wonders in all sorts of classic cocktails. Rich, indulgent flavour notes are balanced out with lighter, more chocolatey-sour ones as the younger and older rums react to each other. Duppy Share Caribbean Rum is made using a combination of premium rums that are sourced for their provenance.

Vividly neon green with a bouquet of aromas incorporating mint, lemon blame, aniseed and of course wormwood, Grande Absente Original is made to a pre-ban absinthe recipe the flavour builds as you enjoy each sip. Having spoken with the people behind Duppy White they are trying to offer people drinking Bacardi Superior and “house” Supermarket rum a more flavourful and authentic rum experience. Duppy Share White Rum was produced and co-founded with musical pioneer Kano, as a vibrant celebration of Jamaica and its influence on the world.They also mention the rum is designed to work both neat and in cocktails, but that remains to be seen – after all my opinion is absolute!

The Duppy White is their latest release (although there is a potential Duppy XO in the works as well) made in collaboration with the British actor and musician Kano. Duppy Share White Jamaican Rum is a blend of molasses pot still rums from Clarendon, Worthy Park and Hampden distilleries. Nothing says Caribbean quite like the sweet taste of the coconut and with Malibu not only do you get that, you also get the sweet, heady taste of premium white rum. The coconut notes blend wonderfully with a sweet molasses flavour which delivers an almost dairy-like flavour, inviting and essential for the most exotic Caribbean cocktails. It is a blend of Pot and Column distilled rum from undisclosed distilleries (or potentially just one distillery) from Jamaica.

The packaging is eye catching with a stubby bottle and a label that projects the musical and Jamaican inspiration nicely with bright and vibrant colours. I will say that without doubt the grapefruit note on this rum is probably one of the most pronounced and easy to spot flavours I have ever encountered.
